1. RENTAL CONDITIONS
The client must hold a valid Category B driving license for at least one (1) year and be at least 24 years old.
The lessor agrees to lease the vehicle specified on page 1/2 of this agreement to the lessee, whose details are also provided on page 1/2.
This rental is strictly personal and is concluded for a specific period as outlined in the contract.
The customer acknowledges that the vehicle, along with its accessories, is received in satisfactory condition and in accordance with the legal standards of the Highway Code. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was received.
The minimum rental period is 24 hours. Delivery and return of the vehicle to hotels and the port of Katapola is free of charge.
2. INSURANCE
The rental vehicle is insured for third-party liability coverage. In the event of an accident, theft, fire, or similar incident, the client is required to immediately notify the police and the rental company.
Insurance coverage does not include damage to the underside of the car, the wheels, or incidents where the driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, narcotics, or any other substances. In such cases, the customer assumes full financial responsibility.
Upon delivery of the vehicle, the lessor will also provide the lessee with the vehicle's registration, insurance certificate, and standard safety accessories (first aid kit, warning triangle, reflective vest, and fire extinguisher). All items must be presented to the authorities upon request and returned to the company when the vehicle is returned.
3. PAYMENT
The total rental amount must be paid in advance upon delivery of the vehicle for the agreed rental period.
Any additional charges incurred during the rental will be charged to the lessee's credit card.
The customer is not obliged to pay any amount without receiving a legal tax receipt.
4. LIABILITY
All additional drivers listed in the rental agreement are equally liable with the main lessee for the entire duration of the rental.
This agreement is governed by Greek law. Any dispute or disagreement between the parties will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Naxos.
5. PROHIBITIONS
The vehicle may not be used off-road, on sandy beaches, or similar terrains.
It may not be used for the transport of luggage, flammable, or hazardous materials.
The vehicle may only be driven by individuals explicitly listed in the rental contract.
Towing or being towed by another vehicle is strictly prohibited.
The number of passengers may not exceed the limit indicated on the vehicle’s registration document.
The lessee is solely responsible for all traffic fines or administrative penalties incurred during the rental period.
The vehicle may not be used or transported outside the island of Amorgos without prior written authorization from the lessor.
Repairs to the vehicle by the lessee or third parties are not permitted without the lessor’s prior written approval.
6. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Cancellation more than 21 days prior to the scheduled vehicle pickup: 100% refund minus any bank fees.
Cancellation between 15 and 7 days prior to pickup: 50% refund minus bank fees.
Cancellation less than 7 days before pickup: no refund will be issued.
7. DATA SECURITY
Etoile De Mer uses SSL encryption protocols on all transaction and personal data entry pages.
Transactions made via Visa and Mastercard are protected by Piraeus Bank’s secure payment system.
Credit card details are not stored at any point during the ordering process.
